        Tom and his mom are moving back to the U.S. They fly from London to Texas and take a road trip all the way to Seattle. Tom’s mom has a new job there. Tom’s stepfather will come later.

        EMMA:  Tom? Are you there?

        TOM:      Hi! Greetings from America! We’re in Kansas, at a
                    ​     motel.

        SIMON: Move over, Emma!

        EMMA:  Wait, Tom! Simon has something to say.

        SIMON: Hi, mate! What’s it like there?

        TOM:      It’s really hot. But we have a really nice room.

        EMMA:  Guess what? We are going to Finland in October.

        TOM:      So, no trip to the States?

        SIMON: Sorry, not this year.

        TOM:     I’ll call you again when I get to Seattle.

        EMMA: Send pictures from every state you visit!

        TOM:     Okay, I’ll post lots of pictures. We’re hitting the road 
                        ​now.

        SIMON: Bye, Tom! Don’t hit the road too hard.
